Salam, I’m Safia 👋🏽

I am the founder of Safa Merwa and creator of BrightMinds Kids Books — but before anything else, I am a mother.

Everything I create is inspired by my own journey, my children, and the resources I wish I had growing up. I taught myself to read the Qur’an in my thirties, which inspired One Line One Ayah: Al-Baqarah Journey — a gentle way to memorise Qur’an one line at a time, especially for busy women who want to stay consistent without feeling overwhelmed.

I created BrightMinds Kids Books because my youngest loved doodling, drawing and creating, but struggled with structured Islamic study. I wanted children to learn who Allah is, when to say Alhamdulillah and MashaAllah, how to make du’a, and how Islam fits into everyday life — in a way that feels soft, creative and joyful.

I have also created Islamic books, journals and guides for children, mothers and Muslim women, including My Little Book of Du’as, My First Islamic Studies Book, The Honest Jar, The Visitor Who Asked Big Questions, But Mum, My Friends Have Boyfriends, Teach the Heart Before the Hijab, and The Seven Sacred Laws of Success. My hope is that every resource becomes a small light in someone’s home — helping families grow with love for Islam, barakah and lasting benefit.

How I Support Muslim Parents Like You

I create Islamic children’s books, workbooks and learning resources that help little Muslims love their deen from the heart.

  • ✅ Make Islamic learning at home simple, gentle and meaningful
  • ✅ Help children learn who Allah is through stories, du’as and everyday reminders
  • ✅ Support handwriting, drawing, doodling, Islamic words and early deen learning
  • ✅ Create resources for Muslim parents, homeschool families and children growing up in the West

Through BrightMinds Kids Books, I create Islamic children’s booksMuslim kids workbooksdu’a books for childrenIslamic studies booksIslamic notebooks and deen learning resources that make faith feel warm, simple and easy to understand.

“Children do not just need to memorise Islam — they need to feel connected to it.”

My resources are designed for children who learn best through creativity, stories, questions, repetition and gentle guidance. They are perfect for Islamic learning at homeMuslim homeschool resourcesweekend Islamic school supportRamadan activitiesEid learning, and everyday moments where parents want to plant love for Allah in their child’s heart.

My hope is that every book, notebook, workbook and guide becomes a small light in your home — helping your child grow with love for Islam, confidence in their Muslim identity, and a beautiful connection to deen.

It’s about planting small seeds of deen that can grow for a lifetime

Using this approach is exactly why I created BrightMinds Kids Books, to help Muslim parents make Islamic learning feel gentle, creative and easy to bring into everyday life.

 — by
helping them learn who Allah is, understand beautiful Islamic words, and connect with their deen through stories, du’as, doodling, drawing and simple activities.

Aside from creating children’s books, I’ve also been focused on creating faith-rooted resources, Islamic workbooks, notebooks and guides for families who want to raise children who love their deen, feel confident in their Muslim identity, and grow up seeing Islam as something beautiful, comforting and part of everyday life.

What makes BrightMinds different?

This isn’t just about books — it’s about helping children build a loving connection with Allah, their deen and their Muslim identity.

✅ I don’t create complicated Islamic lessons — I create gentle learning experiences.

✅ I don’t believe children need pressure — I believe they need warmth, repetition and connection.

✅ I’m not here to make deen feel heavy — I’m here to help make it feel beautiful, joyful and part of everyday life.

Every Islamic children’s book, Muslim kids workbook, du’a book, Islamic notebook and learning resource I create is built from my own journey as a mother — and from the real needs I saw in my children.

I didn’t want resources that only taught children what to memorise. I wanted books that helped them understand who Allah is, when to say Alhamdulillah, why we say MashaAllah, how to ask big questions, and how to grow with honesty, kindness, du’a and love for Islam.

Whether you are teaching Islamic learning at home, looking for Muslim homeschool resources, supporting your child’s handwriting practice, or trying to raise children who love their deen in the West — BrightMinds Kids Books was created to make that journey softer, simpler and more meaningful.

Let’s make Islamic learning simple, joyful and meaningful — one page, one du’a, one story and one little heart at a time.

I’m not just a creator of Islamic children’s books

I’m a mother, author and founder of Safa Merwa — creating heartfelt Islamic resources for children, families and Muslim women who want to live with purpose.

Through BrightMinds Kids Books, I help Muslim parents:

  • Make Islamic learning simple, gentle and creative at home
  • Raise children who know Allah, love their deen and feel proud to be Muslim
  • Use stories, du’as, notebooks and workbooks to teach faith in everyday moments

But I also support busy Muslim mothers who feel called to make a difference by sharing their own stories, knowledge and experiences.

I help them turn what Allah has taught them into meaningful books, guides, digital products and legacy-led resources that can benefit their families, communities and the wider ummah.

You don’t need a huge following.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need one sincere idea — and the intention to use what Allah has placed in your hands for good.

For the Woman Who’s Still Becoming

From One Sister to Another:
My Why

During lockdown, someone introduced me to online business while I was working as a radiographer — a job I still love because it allows me to serve others.

I started learning, taking courses and launching different ideas, but so much of what I was taught felt disconnected from my values.

The strategies focused on hustle, pressure and visibility — but not sincerity, barakah or Allah.

I knew I wanted to build differently: with purpose, faith and a legacy that would benefit other.

What I Believe

  • ✅ Your home can be your headquarters
  • ✅ Your everyday life can become ibadah
  • ✅ Your story, skills and knowledge can become sadaqah jāriyah

This realisation changed everything for me. I did not want to build a life or business that forced me to choose between my faith, my family and my purpose.

I wanted to create with Allah at the centre — through books, resources, guides and digital products that serve others, support Muslim families and leave behind something meaningful.

This Is Bigger Than Business

What I’ve learned is that when you lead with faith, your work becomes more than work — it becomes worship. Your business becomes part of your legacy. Your daily life becomes a source of reward.

This isn’t theory. I’ve lived it. The overwhelm, the doubt, the constant doing — and the peace that came when I slowed down and let intention lead.

You don’t need to do more. You just need to do what matters, with meaning.

Ready to Build Your Legacy?

If you’re ready to stop surviving and start building — with faith, clarity, and barakah — you’re in the right place.

Welcome to Safa Merwa.
Where your faith leads.
Where your work matters.
Where your legacy begins.
